Since the new 1.03 CPS has more functions, the memory location is different from the 1.02 CPS/FW, so it will remind error when you use 1.03 CPS to read the 1.02 radio.

The recommended process is as below.

1. Read the 1.02 radio in the 1.02 CPS and save the codeplug in .rdt file. 

2. Do the firmware upgrade on the radio, and after firmware upgrade, the reset is a must. 

3. Run the 1.03 CPS and open the saved .rdt file, check the optional settings. 

4. Write the new code plug to 1.03 radio.
